1. Overview

This Refund Policy sets out the terms under which Detoxificationan will process refunds for participants who have paid for outdoor fitness experiences, educational programmes, or personalised guidance services. We aim to be fair, transparent, and straightforward in how we handle refund requests.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer protection legislation are not affected by this policy. Where this policy provides greater rights than those required by law, those additional terms apply. Where law provides greater rights, those legal provisions prevail.

2. Cooling-Off Period (Distance Contracts)

Where a booking is made remotely — by phone, email, or through our website — you have a right to cancel the contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

If you cancel within 14 days and no service has yet begun, you are entitled to a full refund. If you have requested that a service begin within the 14-day period (by confirming attendance before the period expires), you acknowledge that you may waive part or all of your right to a full cooling-off refund for the portion of the service already delivered.

3. Cancellation by the Participant

3.1 Outdoor Experiences (Half-day, Full-day, Weekend)

  • 14 days or more before the session date: Full refund of amounts paid.
  • 7 to 13 days before the session date: 75% refund of amounts paid. A 25% non-refundable administration fee applies to cover preparation costs already incurred.
  • Less than 7 days before the session date: No refund. You may request to transfer your booking to a future available date on a single occasion, subject to availability and confirmation within the same calendar year.
  • No-show (without prior notice): No refund or transfer offered.

3.2 Multi-Week Programmes

  • Before the programme begins: Full refund if cancelled at least 14 days before the first scheduled session.
  • Within 7–13 days of the first session: 75% refund of the full programme fee.
  • After the programme has begun: Refund on a pro-rata basis for the remaining unused portion of the programme, less an administration fee of £25.
  • Mid-programme withdrawal with fewer than 2 sessions remaining: No refund applicable.

3.3 Written Guidance Documents

Personalised written guidance documents are created specifically for you and begin preparation immediately after your consultation. Due to their bespoke nature, no refund is available once the document has been delivered to you. If the document has not yet been delivered, a full refund applies upon written request.

3.4 Educational Products and Digital Resources

Digital educational resources that have been downloaded or accessed are not eligible for refund once access has been granted, unless the content is materially defective or not as described. Physical printed materials are eligible for return and refund within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unused and in their original condition.

4. Cancellation by Detoxificationan

In the event that Detoxificationan is required to cancel a session or programme, the following terms apply:

  • Cancellation due to adverse weather or safety concerns: Full refund of amounts paid, or at your option, a transfer to the next available date.
  • Cancellation due to insufficient bookings: Full refund or transfer offered at least 5 working days in advance.
  • Cancellation for any other reason attributable to us: Full refund of all amounts paid, including any reasonable travel expenses directly incurred as a result of the cancellation, where evidenced.

5. How to Request a Refund

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • The session or programme you booked
  • The date of booking and the session date
  • The reason for the cancellation request (for our records only — not a condition of eligibility)

We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days and confirm the applicable refund amount. Refunds are processed within 10 working days of confirmation, using the original payment method where possible.

6. Disputes

If you are dissatisfied with a refund decision, you may request an internal review by contacting us in writing. We aim to resolve all disputes fairly and within 14 working days of receiving a written dispute. Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, you retain the right to pursue resolution through your bank (if applicable), through a certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider, or through the courts of England and Wales.
